a RAVE FAV (from Michelle)

I love the pictures of Chandler and Sydney whispering to each other at the park. I still remember asking them what they said and she said "I love you" and he said " you play ball like a girl". They were always so close and always had each other to play with, so this picture was a perfect example of brotherly/sisterly love.

I treasure the family picture (above) in our garage with the kids hanging all over us because that is keith and I . If they are not with us people comment that we look weird. Carter was born 6 days later so we captured the very last picture of our family of six just in time.

I love the recent pictures of Chan with the shirt in his mouth. He couldn't lose any teeth despite the fact that he was nine. He had his two front teeth knocked loose during a baseball game a few days before the shoot. His eyes are smiling perfectly despite the embarrassment over his teeth.

My favorite picture of Sydney is in our garage with the baseball and glove without her shoes. She is such a beautiful tomboy deluxe. This captures her beauty and athleticism all in one. This picture is so her.

I love the pictures of Libby with pig tail blowing bubbles. She has such a precious but mischeivious spirit.

I also love the way her little blue eyes radiate in the garage pictures with her new little bob. (had to get a bob becuase she cut her hair off)Her nickname is rattler because she is so ornery. I see precious and ornery in those little eyes.

One of my all time favorites is the picture of Emmy Sarah with her hands over her eyes. She loved to play peek a boo, and every time I walk by that picture on my dresser I hear that deep little giggle.

Oh my the pictures of Carter's 1 year just simply melt my heart. That crooked little smile (My Granddaddy's)with those melt my heart big brown eyes just make me cry. I love that picture because it captures his playful babyhood that will be too soon gone.... by the way I'm not sure how you captured it because he is such a mommy's boy.

Kristin; I love your photographs. I know they look so great because you love what you do. Our photo sessions with you are a breeze.. no poses, just doin what we do. I treasure all my photo books and love the cd's with music. I know when I'm, 60 and all my babies have moved out, I will sit and watch those and thank the Lord that I took the time to capture those precious moments of our lives. Your pictures are my treasures!

your words

I've been thinking about this for a few months, and I think it's a really good idea. Other photographers have done this and it's really put a voice to their images. So, I'm throwing this out there to you.

Rave - FAVS!

I am looking for your words about your photographs. So if you are a client who has photographs of their family, their baby, their dress, their wedding, even the love of their life. Photographs I have taken, I want your words.

I'm sure you have a favorite image that you love. One that speaks to your heart, makes you laugh, maybe makes you cry. If you do and you'd like to share it with others, please email me with your submission at info@kristinbednarz.com and share why you feel the way you do. (Include the image you are speaking about, too.) I will post your thoughts here and share them. Inspiration comes in all forms and we all love reading about others and what they love. It's in our nature to be curious and to share.

So email me with your RAVE-FAVS! I'm anxious to hear what you have to say!

the wedding

Wow...what a weekend! I'm only now, on Tuesday, finding the time, (and the energy) to post a few from Yvette and Carlos's wedding weekend. I made it home Sunday, but needed a day or two to keep this little gem to myself. I guess I just wanted to reflect on everything that happened. It was such a wonderful wedding. A few tears, lots of laughter and tons of DANCING! I was so fortunate to be a part of this day!

We started with the usual beauty preparations. The salon and makeup went well enough and then once back home the chaos of the day arrived! Everyone was scrambling to get ready in time, so, my assistant, Jodel dressed the bride! We didn't mind at all of course, and this provided ample opportunity to photograph her in those amazing sleeves. I loved her sleeves.

I always have favorite parts of each girl's dress. The part that makes it unique and special, and of Yvette's dress, it was the sleeves. They were so elegant, and airy...the really added to her elegant look. You did good, girl...especially off the rack!

Rich in culture, the ceremony was lovely, even if there were a few mix-ups, due to communication with the priest. Oh, my gosh... coins, lasso, flowers for Mary. And the singing from the choir was a nice and not typical touch.

From Salsa bands, to Mariachi singers, to wonderful food and an amazing city view...the reception had it all and El Paso welcomed the blonde headed photographer from West Texas. Everyone was very warm and friendly and fun.

Congratulations you two! I had a wonderful time!!

yvette + carlos

I'm in El Paso tonight for the wedding of Yvette and Carlos. I first met Yvette in Lubbock at the wedding of Emily and Joaquin. Lovely girl with a laugh you can NOT forget. I'm excited to see "carless" and "nutty" marry tomorrow. (Inside joke...you'll have to as Yvette.)

ellen + tj

This weekend's couple were the greatest! Ellen's family has been so warm, friendly and just downright, sincerely nice, I couldn't have asked for anyone better to work for. They honestly made me feel like such a member of the family, I would have kept working for days.

Ellen and TJ are probably laying on the warm beaches of Mexico as I type this, but last night, they were celebrating 6 years work of "first love" by exchanging vows at a beautiful ceremony, officiated by non other than Ellen's father, Brad.

Thanks everyone!
