LUBBOCK WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER: Cooper vs Idalou

Okay, so light moves quickly away when the lights come on Friday nights. And as well as the defense for Cooper played that night, they just couldn't beat the size and power of Idalou's offense. We lost 17-0, but I still managed to make the boys look good.

Kalyn and Boo shot with me as well. A few of these here are Kalyn's. To see more from this game, CLICK HERE.

LUBBOCK WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER: Pirate Action!

Idalou hosted the Cooper Pirates last night and I had such a great time! I'm getting better! And I owe much thanks to Kent Sparkman and his pointers and great tips and just general knowledge of the game. Thanks Kent!

Also, parents. He's much better at this shooting sports game then me, so go and have a look at his work at the link below.

I won't get to "techy" here, but he graciously let me use his 300 last night and I so love this lens! BIG pretty files to really get in on the action there on the field. I LOVED shooting with it and managed to get a few keepers at last nights games.

As always, more photos at www.hookapirate.com!

NOTE: The website link above is to a gallery of photos of JUST COOPER PIRATES! You may purchase a digital file from the site and all the proceeds go to support the Cooper Athletic Booster Club!!!

LUBBOCK WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER: We got her good!

This is Boo, our cousin, and I don't have a photo of Bekah from this night, darn it! But she helped too. It all started about 3 weeks ago when I asked these two girls to text oh, 20-30 of Kalyn's CLOSEST friends and invite them to a surprise party at our house. Of course not everyone could keep quiet and Kalyn almost figured it out the week before, but then due to scheduling snafoo's, we switched it to the week after her actual birthday to throw her off the trail. IT WAS PERFECT! She had no idea!

I was so nervous and excited I almost peed my pants! Kalyn went home with Rebekah after school to do "homework" and then Bekah brought her at 7:15. But some of the kids were late arrivals so we were pulling them in the front door and throwing them in the back as quick as we could so she would have no idea! It worked as you can tell by the photos below.

GREAT BIRTHDAY SURPRISE!

Special thanks to:

  • the ENTIRE Heinrich Family for helping out with the food, the clean up, and just being GREAT folks to have at a party!
  • the Linder Family for running the covert STEALTH operation of fooling Kalyn
  • all her family and friends for coming out and showing her some LOVE!
Until next year!
