Christmas Morning

I don't have many pictures to share, but we so loved our first Christmas in the new home! It was cozy and wonderful and just right. Devin slept in and I made breakfast casserole while the girls played with their new phones from Santa!

And I didn't get Christmas cards mailed out this year, but stay tuned...

New Year's Cards are coming! We've had some major snow here for Texas and we took photos Christmas morning.

snow ice cream for breakfast

The cousins spent the night with us last night after the snowstorm and the wind blew all night and most of the morning. I wanted to snap a few photos to show how pretty everything looks. Of course, when they woke up we made snow ice cream for breakfast. I tried to start a fire with the damper closed and we stayed in and watched movies all morning.

Devin drove to the video store this morning around 8:30 and I didn't see him again until almost 2:30! He spent most of his day helping folks stuck in the drifts. He came in with wind burn and a frozen flat top!

Heading to mass tonight and Santa comes in the morning!

the cousins have arrived!

I love it when family gets together. You eat too much, stay up way too late, and LOVE EVERY SECOND YOU GET TO SPEND TOGETHER!

I should be spanked for not taking better pictures, but I'm just so worn out. Jason and Emily arrived with Brooke and Jack and we kicked off the celebration with our family Christmas. It was great because it started snowing like crazy and they got to build a snow man! How cool!

The Howell Family

When we made the decision to move our kids from St. Joseph School, which is all they had ever known, to Cooper, we were worried. We knew eventually are kids would end up somewhere, but we didn't know exactly where. We lived in Cooper district and had friends and family with kids there, but something about leaving the shelter of 1 to 10 ratio of kids to teacher's and just leaving the private sector to go to public, well, it wasn't just very easy.

Heather, the girl in the middle? Well, she made it very easy for my youngest daughter, Summer Zoe. We met Summer in Mrs. Cunningham's class (who was also a HUGE blessing) and they've been fast and furious friends ever since. Heather is fun, crazy, absolutely BEAUTIFUL and a perfect girl to have as a friend. Once I met her mom, HELLO apples don't fall far from trees.

Meet the Howell Kids. Mom had redecorated most of her house and needed a family photo. The last one was taken BEFORE Heather was walking. Um. Yeah. You sure did need an updated photo.

We stuck to natural settings and pretty colors to compliment the new decor. I hesitate to call them kids, because they are grown people with lives, but gosh, to Mom, these are the kids.
