Funny how you simply know that a person is right for you. You either hear a voice in your head. Or your skin tingles the second you lay eyes on them. But something...it just knows.
These two know. They are getting married this December and I couldn't be happier to be a part of their day.
You can see a sneak peek of their engagement session by clicking the link below.
Thanks Eric and Becca. I had a wondeful time getting to know you two a bit. I like what I know so far!

POW is an acronym for Picture of the Week. A fellow photographer, Mikel Leslie gave me the idea and I've loved it, but never implemented it. It's a way to have a photographic diary at the end of the year. It doesn't have to be anything amazing, or anything that is technically perfect. Just something that I photographed that means something to me. Each Monday, check for the POW thread. Now that I've started, I only have 23 more weeks until Christmas. ::::sigh::::
if you try and call...I may not answer my phone. My "baby" turns 9 today. Having a bit of trouble dealing with the emotional aspect of my baby TURNING 9.
This is my youngest daughter Summer. I'll take her to the movies today in honor of her birthday, and maybe Sheridans. She has a softball game on this 9th birthday. Maybe she'll get a home run?
Ah...the possibilites of a new day.

Summer Turns 9!
the turn out was low...but the fun level was definitely high! And I won't have to cook today...plenty of leftovers!
I can't believe she's 9. Well actually her birthday is Monday, but still, 9? It just doesn't seem possible.
I remembew when we moved into this house off of Woodrow Road, she was only a few months old. The house hasn't changed, much. But she sure has. I'm so proud and scared and afraid, yet happy...all rolled into one. I'm proud of how beautiful and big she has grown. How she's always quick to cry about something sad, yet so sure of herself, she'll dance the twist in front of anyone. Or sit on top of a new Yukon Denali not afraid of what anyone thinks. I'm scared at how fast she is growing and by how many times a day she puts on her lip gloss! And I'm afraid that one day she will wake up and decide her plan of building a house behind mine, and adopting 3 kids, will all of the sudden, NOT be her plan. She will instead take that confidence and head off into the sunset with hopes and dreams that may never come to be. And of course I'm happy. Happy that God blessed me with such an amazing, VIBRANT youth that his healthy, happy and strong.
Gosh, life is good.
They were married in a quaint, pleasant ceremony June 18th, 2005 in Lubbock at the Woodrow Home across from Texas Tech. Things went wonderful and as planned, at least until Joe forgot the "till death do us part" part. Oh, he does plan on staying with Donna the rest of his waking days, it was just a glich in his voice. But it did make for a bit of excitement, and for a definite segment of laughter from all that attended. Including me.

What a weekend! The boots were stomping! The dresses were twirling and the wine was flowing! (Just ask Chad...)
