Plainvew Debs

I'm photographing my first Debutant Ball tomorrow night. I'm a bit anxious, because I don't want to miss a curtsey, but excited too, because get this,

they waltz.

Yep. And not a 2 stepping, we're from Texas waltz, but a genuine Beauty and Beast kind of waltz.

Last night I photographed the "Debs and Dads" dinner and then stayed around to watch the rehearsal so I could get an idea of what I'll be working tomorrow night. It was quite interesting to hear what all these girls have done, and to see the beauty of the event.

I'll blog more tomorrow night after it's over, but for now, head over to www. plainviewdebs.com to see more.

Happy B-day, Coach Simmons!

Can't let the day go away without blogging a birthday wish to Coach Simmons.

HAPPY B-DAY!

We first met him when he coached Kalyn Marie in 7th grade. He coached her again in 8th and by then, we loved him and the way he coaches. He pushes hard, yet knows how to get the best out of girls because he expects it of them. They love him! Parent's love him! Shoot, I've even seen refs smile at the guy. Just an all around great guy!

He comes from the same philosophy that most Bednarz's do, WE HATE TO LOSE and WE LOVE TO WIN! We've seen him do a lot of the latter over the past 4 years and will be sad to not have a child under his guidance. But we know they are better players having played for him. Thank you, Coach Simmons!

I hope you had a Happy Day!

Here's a few shots of the guy in action against Lamesa tonight. We won!!! After the game, the girls gave him cupcakes and sang him Happy Birthday!

Emily and Will (the engagement)

I was in Dallas on Saturday, photographing this engagement, laughing and checking toes. Will knows what I'm talking about, and the day was fast and furious, but fun. I love photographing LOVE. And I don't mean, hugs and kisses, but just two people who geniunely enjoy and love each other.

That is Emily and Will.

We started at the Modern, downtown Ft. Worth. I LOVE this sculpture outside called the Vortex and despite the shrill screams of some 2 year old, I LOVE the way these came out! It couldn't have gone any better weather wise! Beautiful blue skies with just enough chill for cuddling. :)

Thanks you two!

We were discussing toes in this shot above. And you know? I never noticed you doing that thing you do, Will, again.

I love how empty the lobby is in this shot. Just the two of them in the world. And what a space this world is. :)

The shot above makes me warm and happy. :)

Next, Will took us downtown to some cool areas to walk and shoot and then we had some words with a Police Biker. Just as well, he led us to the next cool place to shoot, which is this brick covered ivy wall below. Too cool! And right by the car. That was nice, because it started getting nippy.

TCU campus was on our next stop. Great campus and beautiful buildings for being so new. Sometimes, new places can lose their character. There hasn't been enough living or something, not sure. But I loved the curves and lines of campus.

And anytime I can get a couple to lay down with some snails just to satisfy my love of texture? HELLO! They quickly become favorites to me. I LOVE this shot above and blogger posted these in the wrong order, but oh, well. Just roll with it. You'll find a few more like this one, in a bit.

If you are a Ft. Worth couple and you find Will and Emily on your wedding video and am not sure why? Just email me and I'll share the story. LOL

Thanks you two! I had a wonderful time with the 2 of you and love the hugs from Will's mom! And yes!!! She made the BLOG!!!! Can't wait for the wedding!!!

Reagan + John, the engagement

Meet Reagan and John. They are getting married in a couple of months. I've already photographed Reagan before. She was in her sister's wedding this December. Horseshoe Bay is kind of a special place for them, so when I was in Austin, before I flew home, I met them out there and spent some time just laughing. Yep. Laughing. These two are good together. I never had to coach them on hardly anything except which light to go stand in. These two did the rest! Adorable.
