macy + mark

fun couple.

We were supposed to photograph their e-session yesterday, but if you are an avid reader of my blog, you will realize that yesterday was All Star Day for anyone with a BB crazed child in the 3rd grade and up. So, they graciously moved their public makeout session to Sunday.

And it was soooo nice.

We had to fight the wind a bit, but Macy was a trouper and got into the "wind machine" look even more. They were very relaxed and at ease and just a bit into the session, told me how much Mark hates to have his picture taken. Go figure? I couldn't tell one bit!

all stars

Kalyn and Summer played Basketball all weekend long! You can view the images from the Tri County All Start Tournament HERE. They both did a wonderful job and I'm so proud of their character and endurance. Such athletes!

cooper hoopsters

Thought I would share some images from our End of Season Tournament last year. It's been basketball, basketball, basketball! Kalyn played for the Wildcats and they were coached by Melissa Sullivent. They came in 2nd overall, and had an awesome season! As I type this, we just started the All Star Tournament. It's going on this weekend at Cooper High School.

cooper hoopsters cont.

Miss Summer Zoe plays for the Bears and they are coached by Mike Taylor. She's has really improved her ball game since 3rd grade and is totally in her element on the court. Her little team came in 1st in the Tournament and the girls dog piled the coach in honor of their win! It was great! You wont see Summer in the group photographs. She had a soccer game in Lubbock immediately after they took 1st.

amarillo bride

I can't show you the images yet, but I so wish I could! I can give you this one photograph of a detail of her gown and just say....

It was an amazing creation!

Such craftsman ship in this ballgown. Definitely a cinderella gown, but with such extravagant, mature style. A lovely treat for me as a photographer adn in such an amazing church.

Stay tuned, because this bride is getting married May 20th. I'll share the gallery for sure then!

leaving for amarillo

I have so much to share here, but no time to do it! Maybe tomorrow. Mondays are good for catching up. I'll make a list of things I need to share...

lindsey

Lindsey and I spent some time together in East Lubbock last night. I photographed her brother's Graduate Session a few years back and because of a cell phone number change, they could not get a hold of me for a while. Gosh, how stupid was that on my part? Sorry about that.

I'm loving the green grass of the new outdoor theatre at McKenzie. Talk about a project in the making. They've been working on that for years. Fun to finally see it completed. An added plus was just how well it went with Lindsey's gorgeous green eyes! Oh, and the hair? Totally natural. I know...all board straight hair girls wanna punch her. Such pretty hair!

Lots of photographers out last night as well. You can definitely tell graduation is around the corner! You can even feel it in the air!

easter sunday

I'm always exhausted in the spring time. With longer daylight and more time for after school activities...and with all the sports games heating up, it seems like there's just not enough energy left in a day.

That's why Easter Sunday is such a special. It's a day that forces us to slow down, to reflect, and to simply be with each other.

We spent the day together. We cooked a meal. Some played games, and me? I slept. A good long nap. Ahhh... Posted by Picasa

steve and sarah

Steve and Sarah are getting married this summer. In between school and jobs and life, we found some time to get together and just enjoy the evening. We had what is affectionately known as a "brown out". The wind starts blowing and with no crops in the fields, and the majority of the surrounding areas being just that...fields, well, instead of wide open skies with bright blue skies, you get brown hues and dust on your tounge.

There was really no time to reschedule, so we simply found the nooks and crannies of downtown Lubbock and made due. These two didn't mind getting close and enjoying small spaces at all.

Thanks, you two. I enjoyed getting to know you better and catching the romance! I love the way she just fits him!
