mckenzie

Most sessions take place close to sunset. And I kinda make it happen that way with my schedule because I LOVE to shoot in "warm fuzzies". Fields that when the sun gets low enough, all the tops of the plants look warm and fuzzie. Yesterday, I met Mckenzie at her house and we photographed all over town with the sun HIGH in the sky. I had to think harder about where to go, but it was so fun and energizing! And it was encouraging to me as a mom of two daughters, to meet a girl who isn't afraid to branch out of the state of Texas and see the world! I LOVE that!

Thanks, Mckenzie!

brittani

Totally got a "Gretchen Wilson" vibe off this beauty named Brittani. She's graduating this year and her momma wanted some recent photos of her. And she rocked it! LOVED her look, her curves and her clothes. I only wish I was such a fashion mature gal at her age!

Enjoy!

email trouble

sigh

I have too many of them.

Take One Video = takeone5146@sbcglobal.net
website: info@kristinbednarz.com
home ISP: kbednarz@hughes.net
mac (the coolest): kristinbednarz@mac.com
and kristinbednarz@gmail.com

I would LOVE to get them all to come to one place. One place and one email address, but really need to think it out before I just jump. You know?

Jared? I know you read this blog, and you are a pretty high tech dude, right? HELP!

For now, please do NOT use my info@kristinbednarz.com email address. I haven't been able to receive emails for over a month. I'm trying to get the problem resolved, but for now, the others will work.

Thanks,
Kristin

cyber sister, snapped!

WARNING! No animals were harmed in the making of this photo session. Not a one.

I have this group, and if you are a regular blog reader, you know all about it. The Cyber Sisters are a group of girls that blog and read each other's blogs, and many know each other personally and love to spend time together.

Well, one Cyber Sister, Jennifer is getting married this July and she hired another Cyber Sister, ME to photograph the wedding. And I'm THRILLED! I'm going to have so much fun!!!

Well, Jennifer and her FI met me Saturday night for some fun time in East Lubbock, and they brought their pups, Storm and Logan. So, I know my Cyber Sisters are reading this blog and they better leave a comment to let Jenn and Eric know how ROCKING HOT they are!!

You two did AWESOME and I can't wait for the wedding! We will seriously have the MOST fun ever. :)

clayton + leslie

I've been busy. And with the internet down, it's been hard to show you all the wonderful people I've been photographing. This is Leslie and Clayton and they are getting married later this summer. And they were too cute! They live apart right now. Leslie teaches in Houston and Clayton is here. So, when they got together for their engagement session, they were so easy to photography because they missed each other. I didn't even really have to encourage them at all. The big plus was Clayton's BIG truck. We totally worked it into the session.

Enjoy!

and Leslie and Clayton? Thanks for a wonderful evening. I had a great time. :)

for more pics of Rana and Bradley. Christy put her pictures up and they are dreamy romantic. :)

katelyn (and baby bro)

Meet gorgeous Katelyn. From the 2nd she opened the door and I saw her make-up, I was pumped to photograph her. Just check out those dreamy eyes! And then, her mother had told me about her brother Joseph and how these two spends tons of time together, not to mention are super close. So, naturally I had to photograph them together. I'm glad I did.

Nothing like a good thumb fight to get the nerves out. LOVE this new red brick wall I've found, off the beaten path just a bit.

Such a great smile!

On both of them. :)

These next few are some of my favs. Love the series and the tongue! HA!

Thanks you two, for hanging out with an old Mom and being pretty much up for anything, including lipgloss. LOL

emily

I've been hanging out with a lot of graduates lately, and it makes me sooooo happy. The main reason? All these cool young ADULTS with energy, zest for life, and most of all great moral compasses that renewed my faith in our future. Sure, there are plenty of turds still left in the world, but girls like this one above, totally make the world a better place.

Enjoy!

christy penn

I'm dragging her out.  Yep.  I was going to link to her blog, but she hasn't blogged yet, and with her ROCKIN' 85 1.2, I know she has some sweet shots to share.  So, "yoo hoo", Christy!  Quit holding out on us.  :)

Christy Penn 2nd shot with me this past weekend at Rana and Bradley's wedding.  And me being "off my game" did not get one single shot of us together.  Can you believe?  geez...

She did an AWESOME job and it is always so much fun to have folks along to share the time with.  The videographer, Starla was great too.  And I don't always say that about video people, do I Toni?

I have more sneak peeks coming from several grad sessions and a rocking esession with a 4x4 jacked up BRIGHT yellow Ford!

Later gators.

rana and bradley (the wedding!)

It's windy today. And do you know what that means? Yep. No internet for me. Makes me sad when I can't blog. And mad. But by 10:30 PM tonight it had died down long enough for me to share Rana and Bradley's wedding with you! YIPEE! As always, the rest are on their gallery

RANA LOVES BRADLEY

Just click the link above to view EVERYTHING. Here's my sneak peek!

I ran into Rana that morning coming out of the reception hall. Yep. Jones soda with my images on it. LOVE THIS!!!!

Her dress was absolutely stunning! I LOVED how it shimmered and hugged her body and the "bling" on the back was just perfect!

The ring that started this day! From Tiffany's of course!

Funny moment. You know how you need things, and your boyfriend just happens to be at Walmart and your friends needs things too? And you give him the list.

BY PHONE

deoderant
control top pantyhose
earring backs
etc.

Poor guy!

Great moment between Rana and her MOH, Tiffany.

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the bouquets! Rana and her mom saw a similar one at a bridal store for $1000's of dollars. Well, Bethe being Bethe, made Rana's and every single bridesmaids bouquet! They were amazing! And best of all, the works of art will not die and they can keep them forever. LOVE that!

Rana is Miss New Mexico 2003 and she's even been in Miss America! WOW! So, the girl has been all "dolled up" before, but something about being a bride is different. And it certainly wasn't lost on her! I LOVE this image below and how excited she was to be a BRIDE!

New perfume for a new bride!

And of course the shoes! The ironing board served as a great backdrop by the window.

Quick portrait before meeting Bradley. I swear you can't take a bad picture of this woman. You just can't. :)

The cake was AMAZING! HUGE TOWER OF CUPCAKES! Did you read that? Cupcakes with bling on top. YUM

Rana walking to see Bradley.

Bradley seeing his bride for the first time.

We took the formals before the ceremony. I will always honor the couple's wishes. It's their day, their way. I'm just happy to be a part of it. We took advantage of this and photographed the two of them together alone.

Baby! Baby! He is My Mr. BIG 10 years younger! LOVE this shot of Bradley throwing me to the LOOK. Total YUM! Check out that gaze!

The rest of the studs. :)

Parasols! How cool is this?

Being a bride is tough. Rana was wiped. A few quiet moments and then it's time to walk that aisle for real.

She pepped up pretty quick!

LOVE this one!

You know me and the mush stuff. First dances are usually the time I cry and sigh. Even if they just rock back and forth like 7th graders, I LOVE first dances. Rana and Bradley danced and definitely not like 7th graders!

The current Miss New Mexico caught the bouquet!!! And for a little bitty thing, she can rumble!

A quick good bye from Mom.

and off to Mexico!

Rana and Bradley, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of this! I LOVED every minute of it!

rana and bradley (rehearsal)

BEAUTIFUL! I had a beautiful weekend! Lots of laughs, lots of fun and just a beautiful time. I haven't finished backing up all the wedding files to bring you a sneak peek of it, but the rehearsal will tide you over.
The Inn of the Mountain Gods is a great place to stay if you are in Ruidoso. Now I don't gamble, so I can't speak for the casino and the odds and all, but the rooms? Large, roomy, great views and very nice.

We rehearsed in the lobby because Charlie Pride was using the "wedding ceremony room".

This little guy was a toot 1/2! LOVEd trying to capture that energy!

Rana and her dad, Max, sharing a moment during the rehearsal. LOVE how joyful and happy Rana always looks.

interesting reflection

Bradley and his brother having "their moment". LOL

Laughter was a big part of the weekend!

Here's my favorite kid again. I have more fav kids from the reception, but he'll do. :)

The pretty blonde is Bradley's sister.

The view from the lobby was AWESOME! Great design detail to feature the veiw from almost every vantage point once you enter this building. LOVED this!

I went for a walk on the grounds to scope out some places for the next day.

And then it was on to the Texas Club. BEST steak I ever had. EVER. And I've had a lot of steak. I'm just saying!

Bradley's family is Irish and I thought this was a nice touch in our Welcome Baskets. Makes for a restful night if drank before bedtime. :)

Until tomorrow.

njhs

I'm home from the wedding and realized that I needed to blog NJHS (Nationl Junior Honor Society) before I blogged the wedding or the Graduate Session I did last night. Have to remain faithful to the timeline, folks.

Kalyn was inducted last year, and Summer Zoe, this year. Kalyn's grade hosted the event which was short, sweet, to the point, yet still fun.

Oh, Summer Zoe is quickly becoming a teenager. Check these girls out!

This was too cute. This young man was giving the vows to the 7th grade class and told them to repeat after me. Well, he started saying the first few words, and they didn't repeat. They just sat there. He got tickled, the kids got tickled, the audience got tickled. Great ice breaker!

Receiving her pin and award.

This is Hannah. She lived down the road and her and Summer Zoe have been friends for 4 years! I LOVE it when they get together. Hannah has the BEST voice ever. In fact, we save her messages on our answering system, just to listen to them. The best Texas drawl EVER! The girl could win awards with her voice.

I told her to look "honorable". LOL

I'll end this thread with some 8th grade cheer. From L-R, Hanna, Beka, Boo, Kalyn and Danielle. By far, some of my favorite goobers in the world. :)

High school won't know what hit them!

I can't believe I forgot my card reader

After 4 years of photographing weddings with most of those, out of a suitcase, I forgot my card reader.  Ask Jodel, I've done it before.  Don't worry, I have plenty of cards for the wedding today, but I can't share the fabulous dinner we had last night.  Or the gorgeous venue from anything other than my cell phone.  Or the adorably HOT looking couple to arise your interest to come back here for the wedding sneak peek.  Nothing.  I've got nothing.

So, you will have to wait blog readers.  Until Monday for my sneak peek.  And please, please, please, if you are ever in Ruidoso, NM, eat a filet from The Texas Club.  By far the BEST steak I have ever had.

Total YUM.

I'm in New Mexico

I'm in Ruidoso, NM for Rana and Bradley's wedding. How cool is my job? Well, today anyway. :)
I'll try and stay up to post pictures of this place. AMAZING! I had not been in like 17 years. Changed a bunch since then. This wedding is going to be AMAZING!

heath (cont.)

It took almost an hour, but I finally got blogger to post the rest of Heath's sneak peek! YEAH! WE shot these in Slaton, Texas and it was so much fun seeing Rachel's little brother all grown up! Way to go Heath. I had a blast. The rest of your session will be posted soon.

For now, enjoy!

rana loves bradley

So excited about this weekend! I'll be in Ruidosa for Rana and Bradley's wedding. YIPEE! I've been looking forward to this one FOREVER.

I won't leave town until Friday and I'm meeting some togs (slang for photographers) in Roswell. Plenty of images will be snapped, I'm sure!

Just anticipation, my friend. Only reason for this post.

ANTICIPATION.

Who knows if I can get this sneak peek posted, so I'm throwing this up there before the internet peeters out. I'll blog more tomorrow, but just had to share this stud with the masses. They grow 'em good in Slaton. :)

another yum

I LOVE this shot!

I'm uploading Britni and Ryan's photos from their wedding and came across this one. I absolutely love the way it makes me feel. All warm, and yummy and loved inside.

Britni and Ryan

good wishes for Miss Marie

My Kalyn is up at the soccer fields right now, attending the West Texas ODP Tryouts. A few good thoughts will go a long way today!

Go Kalyn!
