yes, I have 2 kids
Several of you asked about Summer Zoe. I had very good intentions of posting her "first day" pics, but life got in the way. With the kids back at school, I'm back at the video store. So, I'm juggling everything fairly well and working like mad to get all my weddings edited and up on their galleries. I have a 7th grader. And she's tall, and pretty and loves people and has a wicked sense of humor that makes me laugh so hard I snort. (the best kind of laughs)
Here she is on her first day!

I have a FRESHMAN
And she's so beautiful that I'm afraid she'll come home with a boyfriend today. But listen guys. This little filly can't date until she's 16 AND after you've had dinner at our house several times. Mom and Dad's rules. I took Kalyn Marie to school today and cried the entire way home. She's so grown up!

california vacation 2008
The Yuba River is about 100 feet from my mom's back porch. That is where I've been while my blog sat neglected all last week. No cell phone coverage, no internet, nothing but family, food and fun. :) My sister and her 3 kids met us there in their trailer and we flew in. The cousins had a great time, swimming, tubing, jumping and playing games. Yo-yo's were a big hit too, as well.Just a great summer vacation!
This is Donnie, my step-dad. He's been coming/living in these mountains his entire life. He's been married to my Mom for over 20 years and can tell you everything there is to know about cowboys, mountains, panning for gold, and pork loins.
General decor of my Mom's house. :) We did NOT have this hanging on the wall growing up. The things you do for love. LOL
This is my Mom, Cheryl. I don't think she realized just how much gravy she had to cook for this bunch. We LOVE biscuits and gravy! YUM!
Kalyn, Hope, and Summer Zoe playing with Photobooth on my laptop. :)
Summer and my mom's dog, Tidbit.
My sister, Kim, me and Kalyn and Summer Zoe. We were down at the country store filling up the tubes so we could hit the river.
Craig, married to Kim, and Abby. Just call him the professional air man. 7 tubes.
Kim and Noah goofing off while we wait.

I LOVE this photo of Kim and plan on blowing it up for my office in my new home. LOVE IT! So much fun!

After you fill them up, you gotta walk them back to the homestead. That's Miss Hope and my Mom in the foreground there. So pretty here!
The Homestead. :)
Donnie has lived a full life.
We tooks some snaps for my sister's Chirstmas Card. Too cute, this little trailer. They hit the beach all the time and any free time you will find them pulling this somewhere.

Me and my sister.
Just the two of us.

Me and my girls. Devin didn't have vacation time with his new job, so he's back at home working away. I hate that, but maybe next year?

Okay, my mom has this great old organ in her house with the paddles on the bottom you pump back and forth to play. Noah was playing for us and it felt like we were on a pirate ship and dancing jigs or something. Missed the rum, though. :)

Mom and her kids. :)
Donnie pooped out from all the house guests. LOL
Kalyn was fearless and jumped off anything. No way, Jose for me. I was on standby.
Beautiful trip and never long enough.
If you perhaps left me a voice mail that week, August 11 - 16th, I may not have received it. My voice mail box was full and not all the messages downloaded into my iphone. So, please call again if you get the chance.

Headed to Granmie's
I've got the laptop with me and have tons of awesomely fun wedding photographs to share with the masses, so work continues. It's a quick trip, we will be home on Thursday. And I'm so excited to see my Mom and sister!!! I will take plenty of pictures to share, but my mom lives in practical boonies, so other than dial up, there's no internt. Aaaaahhhhhhh!!!!! The withdrawals are kicking in!!! I think the cell phone coverage is iffy too, as well. :(
See you Thursday!

emily + jordan (the wedding)
Emily wore her Grandmother's gown. Her grandmother wore this gown in 1960 and it's perfect for Emily All day long, I was reminded of Princess Grace. Not because she or the gown looked anything like her, but there was such an impeccable sense of style to Emily and her wedding, and the sweater twin set at the reception just did it for me. :) Heaven.Enjoy this sneak peek! And to see more, CLICK HERE. (password is emily and jordans last names smushed together)

Special shout out to Toni with Toni Daniel Photography. She didn't have a wedding this weekend, and I'm so glad! I always have such a great time with her and I can't wait to see what she got. :) Thanks, Toni! I"m lucky to call you "friend".You can view Toni's work, HERE.
emily + jordan (the rehearsal)

First Baptist Church is beautiful. Stunning perhaps for all the stained glass. New churches being built now, don't reflect the beauty of art or craftsman ship. Sure, they are built nice, but there's hardly any character. I love old churches. :)
I normally go to all rehearsals. If the wedding is local, I don't stay for the rehearsal dinner unless the couple hires me to do so. Emily and Jordan did because their wedding was going to be short and quick on Saturday and more time would be spent with family the night before. They were pretty smart to do so. We had so much fun photographing family groupings and they didn't have to worry being the "family photographer". They brought me. :)
The photograph below is of two of the grandmother's meeting for the first time. They each, I'm sure had heard their grandchild talk about the other one's grandchild and maybe even heard stories about each other "through the vine".
Fun times.
The happy couple rehearsing their BIG day. Sure hope they have those grins on tomorrow. How cute are they?

This is Barrett in his "hammock" enjoying the time with family. :)

I LOVE this one!

Emily's sister, Sarah getting in on some LOVE action!
We had a few toasts to the Happy Couple! This is Jordan's step-dad and he had a few things to share about Jordan. Very funny things. :)
Other's spoke too, as well. Lots of good memories with this bunch. :)

After dinner, the girl's threw a surprise party for the "bride-to-be". Tons of fun!

Stay tuned for the sneak peek from the wedding! I'm working on it now.

emily got married today!
That's right! Emily and Jordan got married today! What a great couple! :) And their families are even better. One of my very dear, and great friends Toni Spray came out and photographed with me today. You can view her work HERE, and we are tired, exhausted and extrememly proud of ourselves for a job well done.We started @ 6 AM at the church and finished around 2. Jordan and Emily had to get to the airport to start there new lives together.
I wanted to blog more bridals, so here's a few of Emily's.

we have boards!
The house is coming along nicely. We are in a state of shock and expect to stay that way from now until the closing process. So many decisions, so much to do. All the major decisions, like stone and brick and windows, etc. fall right at the beginning and are such permanent decisions. WOW! My head is spinning! But I'm loving how it's bringing our family together. We are so excited!I wanted to share the most recent photos we have and I will try to share more as we go along. But for now, WE HAVE BOARDS! :)

I have a cheerleader
Last week, Summer Zoe (on the left) went to Cheerleading Camp! Give me a Y E A H ! Kim, Kenda? You will be proud to know, "she cheered her @ss off!" LOL I think the girl actually has biceps now and her free throws have much improved. Only reason her daddy is excited about this. :)
They had 17 girls total, 7-8 squads together with mascot. And they were by far the BEST Squad there! Take into account that I'm totally biased, right??
Well, we met early the frist day so I could get group shots of the girls. :) LOVED the green grass behind these beauties! I'm sure I'll have many more to share with you of the girl's cheering this fall during football. Way to go Cooper!
