to glaze or not to glaze?

I'm thinking that with glaze, scratches wouldn't show all that bad. But then I may be wrong. Danielle really liked your your new house. Wish you and your family the best of luck in it. I'm so jealous!!

Seems like the glaze makes the grain pop out so that's how I'd go. And I think Mary Ann is probably right that glazing would make the surface more durable.
